Kettle Yard

1.)Who created Kettles Yard and why?

The creaters of Kettle Yard were Jim and Helen Ede. The household was then used to show a number famous art collections. The Famous artifacts were based throught different locations of the house, in order to represent them in an artistic formation.

2)What is the history behind the house?

Ketteles Yard was originaly conceived with students in mind. In 1956 Jim and Helen came to Cambridge in search of a 'stately home'. What they found instead were four tumbledown cottages nestling beneath the ancient church of St Peter. After finding these four cottages they were then reistablished into house's of an artistic nature.

3) How do you visit the house?

The house can be visited by conveying through the university grounds, it is based near the back of the university. When you enter the house, you are introduced by a number of workers that will explain the details of the house and give you a clearer understanding on the house.

4) What is displayed in the house?

The house shows a large number of different famous artifacts. Each artifact is placed in a different location which enthercises on its artistic nature.
